  • 4 breasts Boneless, Skinless Chicken
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
For the Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
For Serving
  • 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce homemade preferred
  • 1 cup Tomatoes diced
  • 1 cup Cucumbers sliced
  • 1 cup Red Onions sliced
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread warmed

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the yellow onion thinly and place it evenly at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, dried oregano, ground paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to blend into a marinade.
  3. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts on top of the onions in the slow cooker, then pour the mixed seasoning blend over the chicken.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker using two forks and mix it with the onions and juices.
  6. Fill warmed pita bread with the shredded chicken mixture, top with tzatziki sauce, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions.
