- Begin by washing and peeling the carrots, then chop them into thick slices.
- Cube the beef chuck roast into 1-inch pieces, ensuring even cooking throughout.
- Dice the onions and wash the potatoes before cutting them into quarters.
- In your crockpot, start by placing the cubed beef chuck roast at the bottom.
- Layer the chopped onions on top of the beef, followed by the carrots and potatoes.
- Pour the beef broth over the layered ingredients.
- If you are using garlic, add that in at this stage along with bay leaves, salt, and pepper to taste.
