  • 4 cups Beef Broth low-sodium recommended

  • 1 large Onion sautéed sweet or yellow
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced, fresh preferred

  • 4 cups Mashed Potatoes homemade or store-bought
  • 4 slices Bread toasted, hoagie rolls or crusty French bread
  • 2 cups Brown Gravy extra for serving

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Generously sprinkle salt and pepper over the beef chuck roast and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Evenly distribute the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned beef on top of the onion and garlic, then pour in the beef broth.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for approximately 8 hours until fork-tender.
  5. Shred the beef into bite-sized pieces and return to the slow cooker, stirring with gravy.
  6. Toast your bread until golden and assemble by placing shredded beef and gravy over it topped with mashed potatoes.
  7. Garnish with herbs and serve warm with extra gravy.
