Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • small pot
  • Non-stick skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, breaking it up as it browns for about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease, stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. While the beef is simmering, shred the lettuce and dice the tomatoes. Warm the nacho cheese sauce in a small pot over low heat for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Lay out a flour tortilla and layer a spoonful of seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, a tostada shell, sour cream, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
  4. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward in overlapping pleats towards the center to create a hexagon shape, keeping it tight.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, lightly grease it and place the folded wrap seam-side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and toast the other side for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from skillet, let it rest for a couple of minutes, slice in half, and serve warm with your favorite sides.
