  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 1/4 cup Honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or light cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • to taste Salt & Pepper for seasoning
Creamy Potatoes Ingredients
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes or red potatoes
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese or other aged cheeses
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced for flavor depth
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter or salted butter, adjust salt accordingly
  • to taste Fresh Parsley (optional) for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend thoroughly.
  3. Coat the chicken thighs in a single layer in a baking dish and pour the BBQ sauce mixture over them.
  4. Bake the chicken for about 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. While the chicken bakes, boil halved or quartered Yukon Gold potatoes for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain them.
  6. Mash the drained potatoes with heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, butter, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  7. Allow the chicken to rest before serving alongside the creamy potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
