Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the blackening mix ingredients. Mix well until evenly blended.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix mango, avocado, jalapeño, red bell pepper, red onion, and cilantro. Squeeze lime juice and drizzle honey, then gently toss.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Pat the halibut dry and season both sides with the blackening mix.
  5. In a cast-iron skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear halibut fillets for about 2 minutes on each side until charred.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and plate the Blackened Halibut. Top with mango and avocado salsa.
