  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Large Skillet
  • spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the package of frozen fries, usually around 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add taco seasoning and diced tomatoes or salsa to the beef mixture, stirring well to combine. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Transfer the cooked fries to a serving platter. Evenly layer the beef mixture over the fries.
  5. Drizzle warm nacho cheese sauce over the top of the beef and fries.
  6. Garnish with sliced jalapeños and drizzle with sour cream. Serve immediately while everything is still warm and crispy.
