- Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the package of frozen fries, usually around 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add taco seasoning and diced tomatoes or salsa to the beef mixture, stirring well to combine. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Transfer the cooked fries to a serving platter. Evenly layer the beef mixture over the fries.
- Drizzle warm nacho cheese sauce over the top of the beef and fries.
- Garnish with sliced jalapeños and drizzle with sour cream. Serve immediately while everything is still warm and crispy.
