Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and prepare a baking sheet or pizza pan by lightly coating it with olive oil.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add cremini mushrooms, dried thyme, and dried oregano to the skillet. Sauté for 5-6 minutes, seasoning with kosher salt and black pepper.
- On a surface dusted with yellow cornmeal, roll out the pizza dough to a 12-inch round, about ¼ inch thick.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to your prepared pan. Spread fresh mozzarella evenly, followed by dollops of ricotta and the sautéed mushrooms.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, keeping an eye on it until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove the pizza and let it cool slightly. Slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes
Sauté mushrooms thoroughly for the fullest flavor. Drain ricotta if too wet, and allow the pizza to cool slightly before slicing for best results.
