Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash 3 large overripe bananas in a mixing bowl and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup light brown sugar until smooth. Add 2 room-temperature eggs one at a time, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, followed by the mashed bananas.
  4. Sift in 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt. Fold gently to combine, avoiding over-mixing.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While brownies cool, beat 8 oz softened cream cheese and 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter until smooth. Gradually add 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  7. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled brownies, then dust with ground cinnamon. Cut into squares and serve.
