Step-by-Step Instructions for Iced Turmeric Green Tea
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Add a cinnamon stick as it heats up.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add 2 green tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose green tea. Steep for 1-3 minutes.
  3. Lower heat to a gentle simmer, add 1-2 teaspoons of turmeric powder, and simmer for an additional minute while stirring.
  4. Strain the tea into a large measuring cup or bowl using a fine mesh strainer. Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of honey and a pinch of black pepper.
  5. Allow the strained tea to cool for about 10 minutes. Then refrigerate until chilled, typically 20-30 minutes.
  6. Serve over ice in glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
