Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas and mix them into the creamed butter and sugar until combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and then stir in vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the banana mixture.
  6. Gently fold in sour cream and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
