Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by gathering your ingredients. Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin, and set aside in a mixing bowl.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) during this step to ensure it’s ready when you assemble the bars.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches a gentle boil, then gradually add the sweetened condensed milk.
- Continue to cook while stirring until the caramel thickens to a soft ball stage, approximately 230°F (110°C).
- Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately mix the crushed graham crackers into the caramel mixture, stirring well until all the crumbs are fully incorporated.
- Transfer the caramel cracker mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking pan and press evenly into the bottom with a spatula.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges turn a lovely golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack for at least an hour before slicing.

Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container to maintain their delightful softness. For longer storage, freeze them and enjoy later.
