Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Dough by whisking flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl, then cut in the cubed butter.
  2. Bring the Dough Together by adding ice water gradually until it forms, divide into two discs, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Roll Out the First Disc into a rectangle that measures approximately 12x8 inches.
  5. Add the Jam Filling spreading an even layer of jam over the dough while leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  6. Roll Out the Second Disc to match the first and place over the jam-covered dough, sealing the edges.
  7. Seal and Crimp the Edges firmly to prevent the jam from leaking.
  8. Prepare for Baking by brushing with the egg-milk mixture and sprinkling with sugar.
  9. Bake to Perfection for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the jam is bubbling.
