- Begin by mincing 4 cloves of fresh garlic and grating a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger into the skillet with the beef. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Pour this over the beef and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
