Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and peeling your choice of potatoes. Once clean, cut them into ½-inch cubes for even cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon each of butter and oil. Allow to heat for about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Once the fat is hot, carefully add the cubed potatoes, tossing them gently to coat in the butter-oil mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well to coat evenly.
  5. Cover the skillet with a lid and steam the potatoes for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
  6. Remove the lid, stir the potatoes, and cook uncovered, tossing occasionally, for another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Once golden and tender, remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley for freshness.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and crispy as a side dish.
