Preparation Steps
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 2 teaspoons poppy seeds until smooth and creamy.
  2. Wash 8 cups of chopped broccoli florets thoroughly under cold water and cut the florets into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, 1 cup of fresh blueberries, 1/3 cup of dried blueberries, and 1/2 cup of cashews.
  4. Add in 1/4 cup of chopped green onions and 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, then gently toss these ingredients together.
  5. Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss everything together.
  6. Cover the salad bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
