Preparation Steps
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 2 teaspoons poppy seeds until smooth and creamy.
- Wash 8 cups of chopped broccoli florets thoroughly under cold water and cut the florets into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, 1 cup of fresh blueberries, 1/3 cup of dried blueberries, and 1/2 cup of cashews.
- Add in 1/4 cup of chopped green onions and 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, then gently toss these ingredients together.
- Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss everything together.
- Cover the salad bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- When ready to serve, toss the salad gently and transfer it to a serving platter.
