Step-by-Step Instructions for Carrot Potato Tots
- Start by peeling and chopping the medium potato and the two medium carrots into small, even cubes.
- Steam the chopped potato and carrots for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, transfer them to a mixing bowl while they're still warm. Use a potato masher to mash the potato and carrot mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency.
- Add the shredded cheese into the warm vegetable mash and mix thoroughly until the cheese is fully integrated and melted slightly by the heat.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly for easier handling. Once cool enough to touch, shape the mixture into small cylindrical tots with your hands.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the shaped tots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning them halfway through.
