Preparation Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the room-temperature mascarpone with sifted powdered sugar until smooth and creamy, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- In another bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream until fluffy peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- In a shallow dish, combine fresh orange juice with half of the orange liqueur and stir gently.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the mixture for about 1-2 seconds, then arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spread half of the prepared mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Spread half of the strawberry preserves on top, followed by half of the sliced fresh strawberries.
- Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers, then the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Spread the rest of the strawberry preserves on top and finish with the last of the strawberries.
- Drizzle the remaining orange liqueur over the entire dessert.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Uncover and sprinkle with additional powdered sugar or garnish with fresh strawberry slices before serving.
