Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped prawns, sesame oil, chopped spring onions, cornstarch, salt, white pepper, and diced carrot. Mix well for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Fill a shallow dish with warm water and dip one rice paper at a time for about 10-15 seconds until pliable. Lay it flat on a clean surface.
  3. Place a spoonful of the prawn filling in the center of the softened rice paper. Fold the wrapper over the filling and seal the dumpling securely.
  4. Oil the steamer basket lightly, arrange the dumplings leaving space in between, cover, and steam for 8-10 minutes or until the rice paper is translucent.
  5. Serve the cooked dumplings warm with soy sauce, rice vinegar, or chili oil for dipping.
