- In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped prawns, sesame oil, chopped spring onions, cornstarch, salt, white pepper, and diced carrot. Mix well for about 2-3 minutes.
- Fill a shallow dish with warm water and dip one rice paper at a time for about 10-15 seconds until pliable. Lay it flat on a clean surface.
- Place a spoonful of the prawn filling in the center of the softened rice paper. Fold the wrapper over the filling and seal the dumpling securely.
- Oil the steamer basket lightly, arrange the dumplings leaving space in between, cover, and steam for 8-10 minutes or until the rice paper is translucent.
- Serve the cooked dumplings warm with soy sauce, rice vinegar, or chili oil for dipping.
