  • 1 large Cucumber thinly sliced

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soften the cream cheese by placing it at room temperature for about 20–30 minutes. Combine with dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Wash cucumbers under cold water and slice thinly to about 1/8 inch. Pat dry if needed to prevent sogginess.
  3. Lay out bread slices and spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on each slice, covering edges.
  4. On half of the bread slices, layer cucumber slices in a single overlapping fashion.
  5. Top with remaining bread slices, cream cheese side down, and press gently. Cut into portions for serving.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1–2 hours covered to keep fresh. Assemble just before serving to keep crunch.
