Step-by-Step Instructions for Peanut Butter Passion Bars
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, old-fashioned oats, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Add the cubed butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Press 1½ cups of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the pressed oat layer and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the filling and gently press them in.
  8. Crumble the reserved oat mixture over the chocolate chips, pressing gently.
  9. Bake for about 30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Cool completely in the pan for 1-2 hours before slicing into bars.
