Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Take portions of the cheese mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  3. Transfer the tray with cheese balls to the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, and chopped sage. Heat over low for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs in separate shallow bowls.
  6. Roll each chilled cheese ball in flour, dip it in egg, then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the balls in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove the fried cheese balls, drain on paper towels, and drizzle with spicy sage honey before serving.
