Cook the Tortellini
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions, typically 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
- In a skillet, heat the tomato sauce over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add the cream, stirring well and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Combine Tortellini and Sauce
- Add the drained tortellini to the skillet, gently fold to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add Greens and Protein
- Stir in the greens and cook for about 1 minute. If using, add the cooked chicken or shrimp and mix gently for 1 additional minute.
Serve and Garnish
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs or grated cheese.
