Preparation Steps
- Gather all equipment: mixing bowls, measuring cups, a whisk, and silicone molds.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of boiling water with 1 packet of flavored Jello powder and 1 packet of unflavored gelatin. Whisk for about 2 minutes until fully dissolved.
- Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar to the mixture and stir gently for 1-2 minutes until fully integrated.
- Pour the mixture into the silicone molds, adding food coloring or sprinkles if desired. Tap molds gently to release air bubbles.
- Place filled molds in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm to the touch.
- Once set, gently twist and press the silicone molds to release the candy melts.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
