Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of sour cream or mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped dill, and a pinch of kosher salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Take 8 slices of soft sandwich bread and remove the crusts. Spread an even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the bread.
  3. Thinly slice an English cucumber and place the slices on half of the spread-covered bread, overlapping them slightly.
  4. Position the remaining bread slices on top of the cucumber-topped slices, spread side down, and press down gently.
