Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In your greased baking dish, pour in the Alfredo sauce and warm chicken broth. Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and optional crushed red pepper.
  3. Add uncooked penne pasta, shredded cooked chicken, and chopped broccoli. Sprinkle in 2 cups of mozzarella and all the Parmesan cheese. Fold ingredients together until evenly coated.
  4. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil halfway to stir the casserole.
  5. After 40 minutes, remove the foil, stir gently, and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Once golden, let the casserole rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
