Ingredients

For the Pizza Toppings
  • 4 pieces Bratwursts Choose high-quality uncooked bratwursts for the best taste.
  • 2 cups Caramelized Onions Made from finely sliced yellow onions.
  • 1.5 tablespoons Butter Used for caramelizing onions.
  • 1 pound Fresh Mozzarella Adds creaminess and gooey texture.
For the Pizza Base
  • 1 cup Light Beer Enhances the flavor of the bratwurst.
  • 1 piece Pizza Crust Store-bought for convenience or homemade.

Equipment

  • Deep Pan
  • Large Skillet
  • Baking Sheet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a deep pan, pour in enough light beer to cover the bratwursts fully. Poke holes in each bratwurst and bring to a boil, then simmer for about 20 minutes.
  2. Melt 1.5 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add and stir the finely sliced yellow onions and cook for approximately 30 minutes until golden-brown.
  3. Remove the brats from the pan and slice. Sauté the sliced brats in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until browned and crispy.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for crispy pizza.
  5. Roll out your pizza crust on a baking sheet. Distribute the mozzarella, caramelized onions, and bratwursts evenly over the crust.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing into small pieces.
