- Preheat your oven or air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Wrap a whole bulb of garlic in aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil. Roast for 25-30 minutes until soft.
- Once cooled, squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl and mash with softened butter until smooth. Optionally add salt or herbs.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and spread the roasted garlic butter over the cut sides. Add cheese if desired.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the buttered bread cut-side up in the basket and cook for 5-8 minutes until golden.
- Let the garlic bread cool for a minute, slice it, and serve warm with pasta or on its own.
